This report covers the methodology and results of the count of visibly homeless individuals conducted in thirteen regions of Quebec in the fall of 2022.
Monitoring the phenomenon of homelessness is a key element in the fight against homelessness. The count of homeless individuals is one of the data sources used to establish an overview of this phenomenon and the characteristics of people experiencing homelessness. This exercise will inform the thematic surveillance plan on homelessness, the next portrait of homelessness in Quebec, and several studies requiring reliable and valid data.
